Isn't there days you think everything is already written? It's okay, we can recycle everything. There are some very good authors who have devoted some of their work to working from well-known texts and have not gone badly. As more popular as the original work is, more freedom you have to transform it. This is the case, for example, with Jordi Oriol, who has been stirring texts by William Shakespeare a few years ago: he started with Hamlet to make La caiguda de l'ac, he followed with The Tempest to make L'Empestat and in 2021 he has premiered La mala dicció, from the texts of Macbeth. In 2022, also stage director Roger Bernat performed the following experiment: he made a show that repeated the gestures and words of the version of Terra baixa, by Àngel Guimerà and directed by Fabià Puigserver, premiered in 1990. The actors had not rehearsed the work before, although they certainly knew it, and they were guided on stage by watching a video recorded in one of the 1990 performances.
