How do we narrate violence? What representations of evil have we been allowed to question and for what reasons? Which is more upsetting: poetry or the document?

Remaining on the sidelines is not always an option. For some it can be a condemnation, for others a privilege. Do the bodies that are thrown into the sea decide their action? And what decision is there in those who make of their commitment an infinite rescue operation that puts themselves in danger? We have a culture of the body that tells us that it is what is most ours, the last frontier of the individual. But our body is the field where all the power relations that cross us are drawn, as well as the power of all the links that can liberate us.

The activist Helena Maleno, founder of the organisation Caminando Fronteras, who has been investigated for her work assisting raft people, talks with José A. Sánchez, author of Cuerpos ajenos, ensayos sobre ética de la representación.

A continuation of the forum for dialogue, criticism and debate organised by the Teatre Lliure and fostered by Marina Garcés and Albert Lladó, where the tools of theatre art and philosophy are used to consider today's great conflicts. This season there are eight sessions.

On the Teatre Lliure Youtube channel you can find the Escola de pensament sessions recorded.
With the help of the Institut Ramon Llull on recording and subtitles in English.
