Description
This is the twenty-first century version of Luchino Visconti’s neorealist film, an act of love of classical cinema by the director Mercè Vila Godoy, which even today reveals the fragility and contradictions of power dynamics and family bonds.
A family from the south emigrates to a northern city in the quest for a better future, but they soon find themselves trapped in a situation of precarity and disintegration.
It is a universal story that explores poverty, violence and the frustrated dreams of those who continue to pack their bags in search of a better future. A tragedy that journeys through time and leaps from the screen to the stage to engage in dialogue with our present.
