La Calòrica is back with a piece about the 1814 Congress of Vienna, the end of the Ancien Régime and our neoliberal capitalist society that celebrates itself on the verge of collapse in a grandiose, frivolous and, especially, rabidly political comedy.

Time Out Barcelona 2023 award to the company's work.
Critics Award 2024 to the best costume to Albert Pascual.

The Austrian Foreign Minister, Klemens von Metternich, knows that revolutions must stop before they begin. To this end, he invited the leaders of Russia, England and Prussia to spend a few days in Vienna. He does not imagine that the news of the congress will attract the curiosity of all the governments of the world and that what should be a simple meeting will become a massive party that will last more than nine months. It is not easy to separate territorial negotiations from love conflicts, ideological debates from simple ego struggles... It’s hard to know when we’re celebrating and when we’re working. Meanwhile, champagne bottles begin to run out, food trays are scarce and the return of an old enemy makes us think, for a moment, that perhaps things could be otherwise. The Belgian delegate Charles-Joseph de Ligne writes in a letter: "The congress does not advance, it dances."

Who are the European leaders?
