The Master in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities (CRIC), the Contemporary British Theatre Barcelona Research Group and the Teatre Lliure join forces again presenting the inaugural conference of the Master, which this course is run by Gabriel Calderon, director and playwright of Història d'un senglar and AI! La misèria ens farà feliços, among others.

How did I become a playwright, passionate about reading and writing, if almost all of my childhood and adolescence I hated literature? The origin myth of the authors is born with a paradox that we learn to answer, half reality half fiction, like all myth, to magnetize life, vocation and art forward. I will share with you some premises that explain the origins of writing and theater in me, to think about the contradictions and tensions that make art possible and interesting.
