From Madrid, María Velasco, a director and playwright, bring to Barcelona a show based on the most famous novel by the French author Boris Vian (1920-1959), L’Écume des jours [Froth on the Daydream, 1947]. The iconoclastic writer and photographer ‒a singer, poet and jazz trumpeter‒ continues to seduce stages with his ability to play with words and an absurd humour... maybe not so absurd!

"Once upon a time there was a riotous view of life and freedom. A desperate panegyric of the joie de vivre (or joy of living) with a sad man, a cleaning robot, a costume of Mickey Mouse, a dancer and ... foam. What hope is left for romantic feelings when the city of love is the second most expensive city in the world? In this contemporary appropriation of the famous L'Écume des jours novel by Boris Vian, we witness the spark of love and its extinction under the sign of the somatic and economic crisis. The disease is a necessary electrochem so that we can restate some conventionalisms and live our lives with all the consequences."
